tonight we are having a gathering of youth, college students, young adults that are hungry for God. we have been fasting and praying for this night. i posted a little while back about a hunger for God to do something in this generation like we haven’t seen yet. and tonight i really believe is going to be a night that starts it for a lot of our young people.
and yes it’s just one “night.” and yes it’s just one “service.” and yes we have “services” and “nights” a lot. but this night/service is going to be different. we were praying a little bit ago and pastor asked us what we wanted for tonight and in a nutshell i said… “i want tonight to change the course of somebody’s life.”
and it may seem a little cliché but i look back on my life and i can trace the course of my life back to one night where EVERYTHING changed for me. it was at a summer camp. and still to this day as i write this in my mind i can see the room. i can see the grey chair i knelt at. i can remember what God spoke to me. i remember the pay phone hanging on the yellow concrete wall i went to call my mom to tell her what happened.
where i am today. what i am doing today. who i am today. i can trace back to this one night. and tonight i am believing God is going to make this a night where year’s from now people will look back and say “everything changed that night… it was in that gym… kneeling at that chair… God spoke to me and everything about me changed forever.”
Your heart is so pure and right. I can remember that service so well, and I pray that God gives me the same passion that I see in your life. Keep doing all you are for the kingdom. You are doing an awesome job!
